Claudia Chang serves as Vice Chair of the Japanese Cultural Center of Kona Board.

Claudia Chang serves as Vice Chair of the Japanese Cultural Center of Kona Board. Born and raised in Kona and a graduate of Konawaena High School, she and her late husband, Lance Chang has three sons, Jacob, Beau and Vinny. Mrs. Chang graduated from Kapiolani Community College and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has been employed by the State of Hawaii’s Department of Attorney General as a legal Assistant since 1986. Her community involvement includes serving as President of the Kona Hiroshima Kenjin Kai and the Kona Japanese Civic Association. She served as Youth Programs Director for the Kona Hongwanji Kyodan and as Vice President; Director and Treasurer of the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival; and Past President of Akitsu Kumiai. She also co-chaired the Kona PONY Baseball Memorial Day Tournament for more than 10 years and has coached youth soccer, baseball and basketball.
